 | | 2011 Tribute to Women Prayerby Anna Caldwell | Dear Heavenly Father we thank You for this summer morning and we thank You for this group that is gathered here. We know Lord
that there are many, many gifts present in this room many things that
these ladies have used to bless this state and their local communities
and the nation with efforts to preserve liberty and freedom. I thank
You for the gifts that You have given them. And I thank You as an
American for the many many material gifts You have given us. I most
especially thank You for the gift of Your Son and for the freedom and
liberty that You have given to us as Americans as we might be a
lighthouse on the hill to the rest of the world. I don’t want to forget
the military personnel Lord, we know that their lives are always at
risk in many places in the world. I ask that You would look down on
them put Your hand on their shoulders and make them feel Your presence,
guide them, give them courage, and wisdom to protect themselves and to
protect us which is their mission in life at this point in their lives.
Thank You for the speakers that will be here and thank You for each of
the honorees today and give us traveling mercies as we go home. In
Jesus’ name, Amen. | |

President of Guernsey County
Republican Women -- October 2010 |
- That all our rights come from God -
not the government
- That the Federal Government is
limited to the specific duties listed in the Constitution - and that
ALL other functions belong to the states
- That America is an example to the
world of what free individuals can create and do
- That in America every citizen has
the opportunity to follow his/her dreams, work hard, acquire wealth and
decide how to spend it
- That parents have the right and
responsibility to educate their children
- That every person has the right to
worship God and pray anywhere and at any time
- That our society is built on the
foundation of a strong family unit - and marriage should be between one
man and one woman
- That charity is every EVERY
citizen's responsibility - not the Government's
- That every citizen is free to
speak, to question, to read and to listen to any/all facts or opinions
on any issue - and to meet to discuss any ideas
- That our elected representatives
are our servants - not our rulers
- That solving problems should begin
at the most direct local level NOT at the Federal Government level
- That private ownership is the life
blood of liberty and freedom

Prayer 1
By Chaplain Anna
Caldwell and Board Member Rise Roach -- October 2010

We come to you today, Heavenly Father, our hearts heavy with concern
for this country. We are so thankful for the gifts of freedom
and
liberty that You have given us. Freedoms are being being stolen and
criticized by some who have been elected to protect them. We ask Your
healing hand on our nation, especially on the hearts of those whose
idea of liberty is so different from ours. We thank You for
the
great wisdom of our Founding Fathers and pray that it will be Your will
that their efforts and faith in you, as the bedrock of this county,
will endure for many generations.
Give us the wisdom and
knowledge to influence our friends and families about the importance of
honoring our commitment to You, to our history, and to the future.
We
now thank you for the thousands of lives given in battles in the past
as well as those who will be asked to place their lives in danger in
days yet to come, to preserve the integrity of our freedom.
We
recognize the bravery of their commitment and its similarity to the
sacrifice of Your son.
We also pray for our men and women who
are presently in danger. Guide and protect them; give them
calm
hearts, clarity of mind, and physical strength so that they may keep
themselves safe to return to the families and friends who love them so
much.
We trust that You will intervene in the
coming election to
preserve this nation that we love which has been such an example of
hope in a sometimes hopeless world.
Amen
