The Tribute to Women
will be held Sunday, June 26, 2011Worthington Hills Country Club in
metropolitan Columbus. That date has been reserved with the WHCC events
department.
An
announcement about the date and location should be made at
the
upcoming OFRW Fall Conference. Club presidents should be strongly
encouraged to have their members start considering who their
award
recipients will be. Worthiness is paramount -- and applicaations from
clubs not in good standing will be declined.
The OFRW Officers and Committee
Chairmen will receive more details at the January 2011 Board meeting
-- although the past 2009 event will serve as a template. The
forms,
flyers, timeline, program, budget and other protocol are ready for
adaptation for the 2011 event and will be discussed more fully at the
January 2011 Board Meeting.
A full announcement should be
mailed
and/or emailed to clubs in February, with emphasis on getting the award
nominee's bio and money sent early. The information should also be
included in upcoming newsletters.
